7 pictures that show what it feels like to live in fear.

We, as a community, country, world, all learn differently. There are auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. For those who know me, I am certainly a visual learner. I learn by seeing, where concepts, data and other information are associated with images and techniques. Mostly with images because of my creative background.

With that being said, I wanted to write a post for those who are visual learners as well. Especially through images. I went to my photographer friend, Suziryanphotography.com – I pitched the idea of showing what it feels like to carry fear around with you. I wanted to create pictures out of what it feels like to not acknowledge your fear, and to let it overcome you. To show the world, that the fear you battle, is holding you captive. Here are 7 images that show you what can happen and how you feel, if you CHOOSE to live with your fear.
1.     You're a mess. Your whole life is in shambles. You can’t see the path you’re on, because you fear the future. So you stand there, lost, in a world with no direction.

2.  You show the world one side of you, and keep the other side hidden. You show the world, there is nothing wrong and you’re okay. But in reality, you are the farthest thing from “OK.” You then begin to isolate yourself from everything and everyone.

3. You end up in a deep depression which is the result of having two completely different sides and isolating yourself. You begin to let your fear define who you are. You begin to sleep with the liars in your head that tell you, you’re not good enough, pretty enough, or will amount to anything, so why bother?

4. You’re convinced no one cares. You’re depressed to the point that you are now trapped. As if there’s no way out. It’s all a blurr. No light to break up the darkness that your fear led you into.

5. So you keep running from everything and everyone, thinking you’ll find your happiness that you once had again.

6. You end up no where. That’s when it hits you with full force. Like wind from a storm. You’re living your life like you’re the walking dead. Disturbed. Far from alive.

7.  So you lay there, awake at night with endless thoughts. Wondering how you can wake up from this nightmare you’re living in. Looking for the way up. Looking for hope.

And guess what? That’s when you find it. When you’re willing to look beyond what you have been battling, drop the fears you’ve been living with, and gain the courage to FIGHT BACK.     Your life starts to become clear again.

This post is for the girls and guys out there living with constant fear for their lives. Whether its something they find small, or something huge. That fear can only lead to living a life of death. We will never live a life without fear. It is just our nature to fear. But the definition of fearless, is to have fear in the first place but CHOOSING to not live with them. So what is your choice? To acknowledge your fears today and remind yourself, “A life lived in fear, a life of death, is not worth my future.”? Or, will you choose that life of death, the life of fear and miss out on everything life has to offer you?

Worrying will not add a single hour to your life. Every hour that passes is one that you will never get back. Choose to enjoy today, and to drop your fears and gain courage.
