It's time for CHANGE
Something I am sure we all fear would be CHANGE. Change in a relationship, change in moving in a different direction, the result of change and etc.
As a current senior, I understand the fear of the future because that changes our direction that we are going in towards life. The changes we make alter our life from now on. Every step we make defines our future. Those of you who fear change as a senior, child, teen, or adult, should drop the fear of change.
Today I encourage you to EMBRACE change with me along this journey of life.
What we need to think about while enduring change: If Rosa Parks did not make a change by standing up for her ethnic culture by sitting in front of the bus instead of the back, would African Americans and Caucasians be allowed to go to the same school? Would they have the right to sit where they want on a bus? No we would not be allowed to meet others who are great and can help make our lives greater. Since Rosa Parks stood up for what she believed, she made a change in history that impacted ALL of our lives forever.
Another person to think about while embracing change is, Abraham Lincoln. By him becoming one of our presidents, he embraced it by making a change that did not just make a change in his life, but many others. He ENDED slavery in the U.S. Because of President Abe, we are free to earn a living for our family and ourselves. We are free because of CHANGE. That decision has inspired and still does inspire us to go out and end slavery for good in ALL countries.
When I was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the age of 14, I was extremely afraid of the change it was going to bring to my life. For years, I battled with that and hid from dealing with it and truly embracing it. When I learned to finally embrace it, it didn't just change my life in a good way. It made a change in many lives battling with this disease and their fears. BECAUSE OF THIS CHANGE, Fearless Movement was created to help those battling with it such as you. Whether it is a disease you are afraid of the change it will make or a situation that has been placed in your life, make that change for the good.
Going into change is very scary to fully embrace, but.... Go in it AFRAID. What ever it is, do it afraid. I believe that both Rosa Parks and Abraham Lincoln were scared thinking of the results to their actions from our society. Although, they did it anyway. They did it because, they knew that change would be for the good. Without change, old chains society set on this world would have not been broken.
What are you going to do with the change that has been placed in your life?
Are you going to run from it and hide? Are you going to "not accept it"? Or, are you going to choose to embrace the change that God has set in your life? Accept Change. Embrace change. Encourage others through change. Do not fear change. It can lead you to amazing things that you were created to do just like Rosa and Abe. Gain courage to accept, embrace and encourage. You were made more for this life than to fear what comes along with it. Whether that change is good or bad remember this verse....
"God works ALL things together for the good of those who love him." Romans 8:28
